The Nederlandsche Kultuurkamer was an institution set up by the German occupier during World War II, where all artists, architects, writers, journalists, musicians, film actors and stage performers had to be affiliated in order to be allowed to work. The aim was to keep the press and the art world under strict control and to censor it where necessary. The Chamber was part of the Nazification of Dutch society during the occupation.
