The department was set up on August 26, 1939 in Munich-Neufreimann. The department was set up with the assigned anti-tank companies 157 and 212

On March 1, 1940, the department was renamed Panzerjäger Replacement Department 7.

From April 1, 1942, the department was subordinate to the 147th Div.

In October 1942, the department was divided into a replacement and a training department.

On April 10, 1943, the two departments were reunited into one.

On November 1, 1943, this department was again divided. This time in a 7th tank destroyer replacement department and a 7th reserve tank destroyer department. The reserve department moved to France after the formation. After the dissolution of the reserve department was returned to Munich in 1944 and incorporated into the replacement department. After the incorporation, this was again referred to as Panzerjäger Replacement and Training Department 7.

The tag comes from a prisoner-of-war camp - there everything was mostly taken from the prisoners, including the stamps.
