General Assault Badge

The German General Assault Badge (German: Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen) was a military decoration in Nazi Germany that was awarded to officers, non-commissioned officers, and enlisted men of the German Army and Waffen-SS who had taken part in at least three combat assaults on three different days. This badge was instituted on June 1, 1940, and it was typically awarded for participation in offensive actions in the early years of World War II.

The General Assault Badge featured a silver or bronze rectangular badge with an eagle clutching a swastika at the top and a bayonet and hand grenade in the center. The award came in two classes, silver and bronze, with silver being higher in rank.
