First Pattern HJ Membership Badge
The badge is complete with its functional pin/catch construction. The pin is undamaged. Enamelled surface. Nice and hard to find in good used condition!
The membership badge is the first pattern HJ membership badge, indicating membership before June 1932.
The design of the badge features a sun rising from a black enamel horizon against a red enamel sky, surrounded by the script "H.J. - Deutsche Arbeiter-Jugend," which translates to "H.J. - German Worker Youth." The use of the rising sun and the red, black, and white colors were typical elements of Nazi symbolism.
