From April 1, 1943, the replacement battalion was again subordinate to Division 190. On November 7, 1943, the training battalion in Esbjerg was renamed Reserve Grenadier Battalion 376 and subordinated to the 160th Reserve Division. The replacement battalion was relocated to the Netherlands with 7 companies in September 1944 on the cue "Alarm Coast". In the Netherlands, the battalion was incorporated into the 190th Infantry Division in October 1944 as the 2nd Battalion from the 1226 Grenadier Regiment.

The Grenadier Ersatz Bataillon 376 was formed in September in Bremen (Germany) and supplied soldiers for 121.Infanterie-Division.

The Stammkompanie serves as the core or foundation of the larger unit, such as a battalion or regiment. The Stammkompanie often houses administrative and support functions for the unit, and it may be responsible for training and maintaining the overall readiness of the troops within the larger organization.
