NSDAP Long Service Award – Silver - 15 Years
The NSDAP Long Service Award (Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen der NSDAP) was instituted by Adolf Hitler on 2 April 1939, to recognize long and faithful service by members of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP). The awards were issued in three classes, based on the length of service:
- 10 Years – Bronze
- 15 Years – Silver
- 25 Years – Gold
Design of the 15-Year Award
- The 15-Year Long Service Award is made of silvered tombak or zinc, featuring a four-armed cross with blue enamel between the arms.
- The central motif is a silver NSDAP-style eagle clutching a wreath with a swastika, surrounded by radiating sun rays between each arm of the cross.
- The reverse is typically plain, sometimes stamped with a maker mark or left blank.
- The medal was originally issued with a dark blue ribbon, worn from a medal bar or on a uniform.
Eligibility & Award Criteria
To qualify for the award, an NSDAP member had to complete 15 years of active service, which could include time served in other affiliated organizations like the SA, SS, NSKK, or NSFK. War service during World War I or service time in other state organizations could also be counted toward the total.
