Issued by the DSVB during World War II, this badge was awarded in recognition of marksmanship excellence in competitive state-level shooting events using the Kleinkalibergewehr (.22 caliber rifle). These shooting competitions were part of a long-standing German tradition of sports shooting, which the Nazi regime co-opted to promote military readiness and ideological unity.

Badges like this are highly desirable for collectors interested in Third Reich-era shooting awards, sports competition memorabilia, or enamel insignia from the WWII period. This piece stands out due to its vivid red enamel eagle and wartime date.
