Anschluss Medal with Ribbon – 13. März 1938
This is a genuine example of the 1938 Anschluss Medal, officially titled “Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 13. März 1938”, awarded to German military and civilian personnel involved in the annexation of Austria into the Third Reich.
The obverse features two figures—one holding the Nazi flag, helping the other up onto a podium—symbolizing Germany "rescuing" Austria. Beneath the figures is the eagle and swastika insignia.
The reverse reads: “13. März 1938”, the date of the Anschluss.
This piece includes the original tri-fold red ribbon with white and black edges, showing wear consistent with age but still intact.
