This is an original Wehrmacht Panzerkampfabzeichen in Silber (Silver Panzer Assault Badge), awarded to tank crewmen, armored infantry, and support personnel of Panzer units for participation in armored combat.

Struck in zinc alloy with a silver wash (some loss due to age), the badge features:

• A Panzer IV tank in profile


• Surrounded by an oak leaf wreath


• Topped with the Wehrmacht eagle and swastika


• The reverse shows the original hardware: soldered hinge, vertical pin, and catch — all intact and functional. There are no maker marks, which is common for many wartime examples.
