This authentic WWII Eastern Front Medal, also known as the Ostmedaille or “Winter Battle in the East 1941/42” Medal, was awarded to German and Axis personnel who served on the brutal Eastern Front during the harsh winter campaign against the Soviet Union.

Features:

• Original WWII-era medal with excellent detail


• Striking Wehrmacht eagle clutching a swastika, over a steel helmet and stick grenade motif on the obverse


• Reverse inscription reads: “Winterschlacht Im Osten 1941/42” (Winter Battle in the East 1941/42), with crossed sword and laurel branch


• Comes with original red ribbon with black-white edge stripes – symbolizing blood, snow, and iron


• Marked on the ring (unreadable due to wear) – typical for many original wartime-issue pieces


• Condition: Very good with signs of age and wear consistent with original issue. Ribbon remains vibrant. Medal has no restoration or repainting.
