German Police 8 Years Long Service Award (Polizei-Dienstauszeichnung)
A highly attractive original German Police Long Service Award for 8 years, dating from the Third Reich period. This example is the bronze/silvered medal type, suspended from the correct dark blue ribbed ribbon, as awarded to members of the Ordnungspolizei and related police formations in recognition of eight years of faithful service.
The obverse features the police eagle within an oakleaf wreath, displaying crisp detail with honest period wear and natural patina. The reverse bears the inscription “Treue Dienste in der Polizei – 8”, clearly struck and well preserved. The medal remains fully intact, with its original suspension ring and correctly mounted ribbon, complete with functional pin assembly on the reverse.

Collector Notes
Police long service awards are increasingly sought after due to their direct association with the Ordnungspolizei, a key organization within the German state structure of the era. Complete examples with original ribbon, as offered here, are significantly more desirable than loose medals.
A solid and historically interesting piece, ideal for a Third Reich police display, long service award collection, or advanced militaria archive.
