Early DLV Belt Buckle (1935 Pattern)
Category:
€ 245,00
An attractive and increasingly hard-to-find early Deutscher Luftsport Verband (DLV) belt buckle, dating to the mid-1930s and featuring the distinctive first-pattern “drooped-wing” eagle design. The DLV was the civilian flying organization established prior to the formation of the Luftwaffe, making original DLV items highly sought after among collectors of early German aviation memorabilia.
This authentic nickel-chromed steel buckle is an unmarked example, typical of many original period-produced pieces. The buckle retains its attractive silver finish and displays excellent detail throughout the eagle and wreath motif. Moderate period wear and age-related patina are present, adding character while preserving the buckle’s historical appeal.
Recovered from a private German household, this buckle remains in solid collectible condition and represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a genuine pre-war DLV artifact. Early DLV belt buckles are considerably scarcer than standard Luftwaffe buckles and are becoming increasingly difficult to source on today’s collector market.
