Luftwaffe EM/NCO Visor Cap – "General Göring" Regiment (1936)
This visor cap is a historically significant piece of Luftwaffe headgear, dating to 1936, as marked under the celluloid sweat shield. It was produced by G.A. Hoffmann of Berlin, one of the premier and most recognizable cap manufacturers of the Third Reich period.
Historical Context
The cap belonged to a member of the Wachbataillon (Guard Battalion) of the "Hermann Göring" Regiment, an elite formation originally part of the Luftwaffe and later expanded into the Fallschirm-Panzer Division Hermann Göring. The regiment served not only as Göring’s personal guard unit but was also deployed in combat operations throughout the war.
